Events during October 2003

Tutors Conference held in Karachi (04 October 03):

Twenty-five Book-7 graduates of Karachi cluster gathered for Tutor's Conference on Saturday, 04 October 2003, at local Bahá’í Hall. Goals for the next quarter ending in January were set.

Junior Youth Programme Launched in Pakistan (24th - 26th October):

A three-day Junior Youth Tutor Training Program was held from 24 to 26 October 2003, at the local Bahá’í Hall. This was the official launching ceremony of the Book “Breezes of Confirmation” in Karachi and Pakistan. Overall 22 friends from Karachi and Hyderabad clusters attended the training. Most of the participants were Book 7 graduates and youth, which was a positive outcome. Ms. Lubna Ghafoorzadeh conducted the training. The training included topics such as the psychology of adolescence, introduction, objectives and overview of the chapters of the book, workshops, activities, art and craft, study of the messages from the World Centre. The participants were awarded “certificates of appreciation” by the National Bahá’í Institute Pakistan. 

Following this training at least four friends have already started Junior Youth classes using the Book “Breezes of Confirmation”.

Ramadan Campaign in Karachi (started on 28 October):

A Ramadan Campaign was launched in Karachi on the first day of Ramadan, i.e. Tuesday, 28 October 2003. The main objective of this campaign is to take the friends from one level to the next level in the Ruhi sequence. The campaign was strengthened by holding a refreshers course, held on Thursday, 30 October 2003, consisting the subjects covered by Ruhi Book-1, 3, and 7. Twenty friends attended this course. The Coordinator for Study Circles in Karachi writes, “The Ramadan Campaign has begun slowly but it is being hoped that it will soon gather momentum”.
